Fun is a platform for online courses (Mooc). These courses are created by higher education institutions and French-speaking partners. Depending on the course, you can earn either a course badge or an optional certification (for an additional fee). Fun also offers paid professional training courses leading to micro-certifications.
Courses on Fun are open to all, and designed for anyone wishing to acquire new knowledge and strengthen their personal or professional skills.
The MOOCs available on FUN are free. The objective of France Université Numérique is to provide high-quality educational resources for everyone. A badge is offered free of charge (upon successful completion) for the courses concerned. Some institutions offer certifying courses, which require payment of a dedicated fee. You can identify these courses with the red “Certificate” icon on the catalog. The fee depends on the institution, and can be found on the course presentation page. Note a course offering a certificate for which a fee is charged does not always offer a follow-up badge at the same time. Certification courses are always free if you do not wish to take out a certificate.
FUN also offers professional training that allows you to obtain paid micro-certifications. The price is visible on the page of each training course.
We are an online course platform created by French higher education institutions and partners, and registration with us is free of charge. In this sense, registration for courses on our platform does not constitute registration in one of the institutions producing the courses, and therefore, no certificate of attendance can be issued.
A course on FUN takes the form of a scheduled session, during which the course and assessments are accessible. The course is led by the pedagogical team. A forum is available for discussion with other learners and the teaching team. Course sequences are accessible during the course session. To earn your follow-up badge, you must complete the assessments by the deadline and achieve the minimum score required (score varies by course). To obtain your certificate, once you have subscribed to it, you must sit the online exam and pass it.
Most courses on the FUN platform are offered in French. However, we do have a few international courses in our catalog. In addition, more and more courses offer subtitles for video content in French and/or English.
Courses are not degree courses. FUN only offers badges or certificates for the FUN Mooc's courses.
You can consult the course catalog to find out about upcoming courses. If you have created an account on FUN, you will receive our newsletter (unless you have unsubscribed) keeping you informed of new sessions and courses. You can also find our latest news on our social networks (X and Facebook).
It is not possible to register for an archived course. If you were registered during the registration period, you can access the course content as long as it is made available by the teaching team. The forum and the assessments are closed, and it is no longer possible to obtain a badge or certificate.
Unlike classic archived courses, non-animated courses are available for registration (the ‘Register’ button is active). However, you will not be able to access the course follow-up, assessment, badge or certificate. These courses are available for self-study.
You can access your dashboard (https://lms.fun-mooc.fr/dashboard) by clicking on the drop-down menu to the right of your username. It will show the list of courses in which you are enrolled. As long as the course has not yet started, only the course start date will be displayed. You will need to return at the date and time indicated to access the course content. Once the course has started, click on the "View course" button to access the course content.
If you have a problem with your assessments, quizzes, your badge or certificate, or access to course resources, you can contact the teaching team directly via the relevant course discussion forum.
Badge automation allows badge generation in a few days. As soon as the badges are generated, you will receive an email (from Open Badge Factory [OBF]) allowing you to retrieve your badge (It is expected that the link will also be available on the badge request component of the course). Delays can sometimes make generation times longer.
The fact that you have applied for a badge before completing your course has no impact on your ability to complete the course and obtain your follow-up badge. If you meet the minimum score requirements, you will obtain your follow-up badge at the end of the course. Your request will already have been sent. However, if you are not eligible for the badge at the end of the course, you will not be able to benefit obtain it.
The certificate is a paying document subject to an examination or supervised assignment. It demonstrates your willingness to acquire new skills. It attests to your expertise and sets you apart when you are being recruited. Adding a FUN MOOC certificate to your CV or LinkedIn adds to your professional appeal and enhances the value of your skills. Certificates on FUN are issued by the institution offering the course and France Université Numérique. Note that the course is always free. Only access to the certificate is chargeable and optional.
- Find courses offering a certificate - Register for the course that offers a certificate. Access to the course is free. - Register for the certificate within the course. There is a charge for the certificate. - Follow the course through to the end and make sure you complete all the required sections. - Take the supervised exam or submit the assignment (depending on the terms and conditions requested) with identity verification. - If your exam is validated by the teaching team, you will receive your certificate at the end of the course.
The certificate and micro-certificate training course can only be paid for by credit card (Visa or Mastercard). We use the Payzen Lyra secure payment system.
